It's been another week. I'm so lame at posting.... My long run this Saturday was 7 miles. I did quite good I thought for me. I didn't eat my normal banana but ate a piece of bread with peanut butter and honey. I was also out of any chews so went empty handed. I felt great the first 5 to 6 miles. But the last mile was tough! I finished in 1.20 Min.
I am really enjoying my running group. It is very motivational and keeps me accountable to myself and my goals.
It's Monday and I woke up after dreaming I was in the hospital for my injured knee. When I woke up, I realized it was really hurting. I iced it today and made an appointment with Ernie, the CREW trainer. That also means I skipped my run. Thank goodness because it was cancelled due to rain! I was going to make it up tonight but decided to do chores around the house.
This past weekend was PACKED with fun activites. First, a much needed trip to the grocery store. Thank goodness I got smart waters on sale 10 for 10!!!! Note.. the beer and cokes are not mine.
Saturday after the long run we worked in the house and had normal pancake breakfast with the kids. We swtiched it up this week and had waffels per Cullie's request. They were a hit! Rand and I cleaned out his closet. We are giving a lot to the Junior League Thrift Sale coming up in October. Once again, I forgot to take a picture.
Later we took the kids to Square Fest where we had a great picnic and listened to some great music. The fest went on all night but we stayed in.
Sunday was promotion Sunday at church. The kids went up to the next class. They were so cute and exciting. The sermon in big Church was AMAZING. We had a guest preacher who is possibly the best person I have ever heard speak. He even kept the attention of a 4 and 9 year old. His sermon was about listening to God when he speaks to you and what we as humans do to avoid it. ON the other side what we need to do when you hear the voice of God. I would love to hear more from him sometime.
Sunday afternoon we played Yatzee as a family. Cullie's new favorite game and then the girls got dressed up and went to the Happily Ever After Ball. This was an event that benefited The Next Generation charity which we are members of. The charity benefits the Childrens hospital at Memorial Health. I really enjoy being part of this organiztion.
THis event was for children to dress up and meet the princesses and princes and some others too. Captain Jack Sparrow gave out Treasure Maps at the door for the children to get Jewlews in each room. One room had Rapunzels hair salon where they got hair and make up done. Another was Alice
s tea party room and the coolest was the under the sea room which was for the Little mermaid. All the children there LOVED it and had a blast. Randy went with me and he even said that it was a great event. He normally hates things like this.
