I'm Back

Well it has been a while and I Have a LOT to catch you up on. I wanted to start by talking about this weekend. Randy and I headed up to ATHENS to cheer on the Dawgs. We weren't successful at winning but very successful at having a good time.
We got out of town on Friday and headed up. We had dinner at our fave, DePalmas with Robert, Mary and Dorsey. I had the neatest ravioli with grilled artichokes. After dinner we hit up our normal spots, and stayed out way to late. Saturday, Randy and I got up and he was such a sweet boy he went shopping with me. I had been dying to go to Herys and to Encore. It was a very good shopping day for me. I got these great boots I have had my eye on for a while. I got another pair too, they are the Billy Heel Short. I'm in love.

So we headed on down to the tailgate where we spent all day enjoying every ones company. It is always so good to be around everyone and be excited about one thing, the DAWGS. The game was fun, close, and disappointing. We went back to Depalmas to get pizza and back out again.

Even though we lost, I had a great time celebrating with friends and my Fiance! (Yes, I got engaged, story to follow)

Weekend Wrap Up X 2

The weekend before last the girls from College got together. We met up in SSI and had the best time. We got to go to dinner at one of the best places there. Crabdaddys! It is so yummy. We then proceeded to stay out way way to late, but had the best time.

Saturday we were pretty lazy and sat around and talked all day.  It was very rainy so we felt like it was ok to stay in all day. later that night we treated ourself to an ice cream treat.

Here is a picture of us from our senior crusie from college 5 years ago. Man how everyone has changed.

This weekend i was so excited that my best friend Meredith was in town for her anniversary. She got married last year in Charleston in one of the prettiest weddings I have ever been too.

She and Lauren were both in town so we were able to go out together Friday night. I wish they both were here in savannah all the time! (Pictures later)

The rest of the weekend was spent preparing for my next weekend trip. On Saturday morning, we leave for the Abacos for a whole week. I CAN'T WAIT!  This is a view from the water of the Flanders house where we will be staying.

Bad Service Curse

I cannot go to any restaurant without something happening to ME. It doesn't matter if the waitress is rude, my food is wrong, doesn't come out, or just don't get service at all. Anything and all can happen to me and only me at a restaurant. I have decided i would share my stories with you because it is just sooo funny at this point. No matter what it will happen.

I should have started this a while ago but I'm sure there are plenty more stories to come.

I will start with this past weekend...

Dinner with the girls from school at Catch 228 in St.Simons.
Restaurant is run by teenagers who want to gossip and be lazy. We are seated by the hostess who then disappears. We then wait 15 min before someone comes to take our drink order. Then the hostess comes back and says she will take our drink order because the waitress is SOOO BUSY. side note.. There are only 4 tables being used. We ask for a wine list she says, " we don't really have a wine list but they are listed above the bar, you can get up and look if you want". WHAT!! Just tell us the 4 wines that you do have, it can't be that hard right?  So then, we ask for the specials, She reads them off the chalk board which wouldn't be that bad but the specials have special names. For example, "Catch 228 Mahi" "The Doormat" we ask what are these things, her reply "I'm not sure"

UGHH!!!! Will not be back. not to mention the bathroom was disgusting.

Then at brunch yesterday at the Mallory Street Cafe, of course they forgot my bacon. The one thing I really wanted.  I will go back there though. Great little cafe.

Yoga

One of the reasons I wanted to start blogging is to keep up with my new obsession, YOGA. Power Yoga to be exact. I started back in January going occasionally, then around April I started really going regularly and getting excited about how it was changing me. The practice is intense and the room is heated to 95 Degrees. There are different levels and definitely classes for beginners. Everyone should try it! I love it. Go to www.savannahpoweryoga.com to check them out.

Coming up soon, they are hosting a yoga boot camp. It is 3 days of intense yoga, meditation, and eating healthy. I haven't decided if I should do it or not. I want to but it is a whole weekend. Any thoughts?

Weekend Wrap Up

So I stole this blog title from my favorite am radio talk show. KIDD KRADDICK is my favorite thing to listen to every morning. On Monday mornings Big Al gives his weekend wrap up so I thought I could do the same.

Friday when I finally got home from work I decided to treat myself to a nice manicure. Now, it is Monday and nail polish is nowhere in sight. I have a great new color but for some reason it doesn't, nor does any polish like to stay on my nails.

Later we took a nice afternoon cruise down the Herb with some friends to Bonna Bella, had a appetizer and headed back.

Saturday morning, we headed out on the boat with Brooke and Andy. We spent the ENTIRE day at Wassaw and saw some great friends out there as well. We decided we wanted to eat at Bonna Bella so we went over there and finally headed back home about 12 hours from the time we left Landings Harbor that morning. SO MUCH FUN! Can't wait to do it again. Thanks Brooke and Andy.

Sunday, i was pretty motivated to go to church but then something happened. I decided to go weed my garden. I have let it go because it has been so hot. Then, i Pickled some Okra. Randy surprised me with 10 pounds of it. Hopefully I will get some more to do before it is out of season.

Sorry this is late...

June Travels

Randy and I just walked in the door from yet another weekend on the road. It's Fathers day so I'm honoring Randy by letting him watch what else than the US OPEN. We have been in the car for 6 hours coming home from Brevard, NC visiting his mom for the weekend. This is a view from last night from her back deck.

We went up on Thursday after work with this little one. We went to pick up her brother and sister who were at Gwynn Valley camp for the past week and a half.

We went to pick up Rand that morning from Camp. We got to see his cabin, meet his counselors and see what he did all week. It was so neat seeing all the kids from all over the WORLD interacting with each other. This is Rand after we picked him up in downtown Brevard.

Finally, we got to pick up Paige who was at Day Camp at the same camp. She had the best time and said she can't wait to go back for overnight camp next year. Later that night, Paige lost her first tooth! She was so excited she forgot to put the tooth under her pillow. The tooth fairy DID NOT come that night. However, needless to say she didn't forget the next night.

Today is also a very important day. Today we honor our Fathers and Grandfathers. I wasn't able to go home and see my dad today because we were traveling. However, we did go celebrate with him a few weeks ago. I do wish him a happy fathers day and am so thankful to have someone like him in my life.

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there.

Weekend Reunion

I feel like I started my weekend last night but to my dismay I had to wake up and come to work this morning. :(  Randy and I hosted a small dinner party with some great friends last night. I didn't take a picture of course but we had a great time spending the evening with everyone and enjoying this beautiful view. I can't wait to do it again!

In just a few short hours me and the boo will be heading to this place!

Tybee, it is... We are heading there for Randy's 20 year high school reunion. I haven't met to many of his high school friends so I am very excited to meet everyone! I am especially excited about spending two whole days laying on the beach. We are staying in a beach house with a few other couples so lots of fun should be had by all.

We have been on several beach trips lately. Once I get my pictures uploaded I will share those adventures with you. In the meantime, here is a picture of me and Randy in Hilton Head on our first getaway this summer. (I think it is at least) If not, then Tybee a few weeks before.

Have a great weekend!

Hello!

After much consideration, I have decided to join the blogging world! YAY! Everyday I look forward to reading about my friends and their families and I hope they will enjoy the same from me.  I have found that this is the only way I know whats going on with some of my friends. I cherish every second of reading their stories and seeing pictures of recent events and most importantly, the growth of their little familes. My blog may not be interesting to anyone but myself, but I hope to let this be a way for me to stay grounded and express in writing what's going on today in my world.

Recently, life has thrown me numerous curve balls but also opend up some new expeirences that I have had the pleasure of exploring. I will talk about these more in detail as I get comfortable with blogging. Anyway, that's it for the first post, I can't wait to write more.

Happy Wednesday!
