Progress
This has been a boring week. Not much to talk about. Monday I went to trx. I felt great for the workout until hamstring time. I guess I have strained the muscle somehow because it hurt so bad when I jumped and did the floor exercises. I spent some time stretching it after that. I cooked a terrible dinner for me but Randy loved it! Hamburger steak with mashers and gravy!
Tuesday was a rest day and I had all intentions in getting up early for something but I was still so worn out from the weekend. Tuesday night we went to Price and Joes for dinner and of course forgot pictures. I am going to get better!
Wednesday was a run day! I ran for 40 min and did a pace run. It was 3.47 miles. I was pooped! I was craving some sushi after that... I didn' take a picture of mine because I already ate mine by the time I remembered to take a picture.

Weekend wrap up
This weekend was a blast! It was one of the few weekends we were able to stay in Savannah and relax!!! It was heaven. Friday, Randy and I went to Savannah Uncorked. It was an event to raise money for the Trauma center at Memorial. It was a wine pairing event. I sampled several different things but have no idea what they were. There were over 450 people there so it was a little crowded. You can find out more about the wine at www.savannahfoodie.com.
Saturday morning was perfect. Randy and I were able to lay in bed and relax. We tried to think of the last time we did this on a Saturday morning and we couldn't remember. I know it had to be before the wedding. He did have to get up at like 10 to go work and get a haircut. It was still time well spent together. I think everyone should have a Saturday like that every now and then. We met up for lunch for some much needed Jalapenos. I decided to be adventures and try something from the menu I had never had. I was trying to be healthy but still needed the grease to help the feeling I had from the night before. I decided to go with the avocado chicken wrap. It was fantastic!
I also had one of these. Freshly squeezed lime juice, Don Julio Tequila, agave nectar, YUM!!!
My bestie Meredith and her husband Bruce were coming to visit from Charleston for the night. We spent the afternoon floating in this float off the bluff. It was amazing. Finally someone said, it's 8 O'clock we need to go home!! We spent the rest of the night cooking and drinking wine. It was so much fun with Lauren, Meredith and I back together. We played some cards too and Boone wanted to play as well.
No training over the weekend but Real training starts this week. The workout schedule for the week is the following.

Tuesday Early morning workout. Probably Abs and Arms
Wednesday Training run with Kristen 40 Min Pace Run

Training
The past couple of days have been super busy. I am not sure when I'm going to have time to write good post. My training for Tuesday was rest so I rested with a wonderful Facial from Glow. If you haven't been there you must go. Urcela is my favorite person to see for these types of things!
Wednesday, my meals were pretty balanced until dinner. Had greek yogurt, fruit, granola, and honey for breakfast, banana for a snack, Spring mix salad with Feta cheese for lunch. For dinner, I had some of these....
Fried Okra from Smoke Station are the best. A great local guitarist Eric Culberson was playing on the porch their tongiht. It was a real treat to sit and listen to him. Normally he plays in a larger venu and it's hard to relax.
My workout for Wednesday was a slow 30 minute run. That was on the plan so that is what we did.
Kristen and I ran 2.55 miles in 30 minutes. That was a pretty slow pace but that is ok. It was soo hot and I know it will only get worse. Thursday was Rest. However, I didn't rest because I wasn't sure if I could work out on Friday or not. I headed to the Y. I did cross training #1 on the eliptical for 30 minutes, covered 2.5 Miles. I felt really good after it. I think I could have been challenged more but it was good. I hit the weights and worked on arms, shoulders and as always abs. I spent a lot of time stretching because it felt soooo good!
When I got home I cooked up some Shrimp Stir Fry for us. Fresh wild caught Georgia shrimp was at the grocery store so I grabbed those. I have the best hubby, he peeled and deveined them while I was at the gym..
This morning rolled around and I decided to get up and run to stay with the training program. Today was a 40 min pace run. The goal is to jog at an easy pace for 20 min then run a pace run for 1 min and then an easy run for 1 minute. You will repeat this 5 times and finish with a 10 minute easy run. I ran 3.26 Miles at 38.40min. (I got around the track to my car so I stopped!) I know that is not good but I was pretty pooped!
Busy weekend ahead! Will blog about it later. Have a great weekend.

Training
I have found through my new journey of the gym I somewhat enjoy running. I started running before the wedding to loose weight but got more out of it. The girls in my office also started running. They ran the rock n roll marathon last year and loved it! Well... I am going to do it this year! We are in pre training right now. We are using run coach pro training plan. The majority of the training will start in august, of course the hottest month of the year! I'm so excited. Yesterday I ran at the gym and did 3 miles at a 10.31 pace. That's great for me so far. I want to get faster but just happy I'm running for now. My friend Lauren works at fleet feet. She has been an inspiration to my running as well. Fashion is important to me so having her help me look good when exercising is a huge help!
Today, on the schedule is Rest! Randy bought me a facial because I need one desperately so I am doing that instead! When I get done I may go on a walk or a class at the gym.

Inspiration
I am inspired. Not sure how long it will last but for now I'm on track. I began blogging for two reasons. One to explore my new adventure with power yoga and secondly to document my life so I could look back and smile. A lot has happened this year that I didn't document and I'm sad about that. But it's gonna change! Here is a small recap of last years!
I got engaged! Went to concerts! Friends had babies, exciting St pats, got married, went to new Orleans, spent time at the lake, an started running!
My plan is to start blogging about my lifestyle changes and my training.
